  • Scores will be kept on each field by the field supervisor and reported to the headquarters tent

US Lacrosse Rules will Apply

US Lacrosse rules will apply as it pertains to each age group with the following tournament-specific modifications:

  • Time outs will not be permitted unless there is an injury. During an injury timeout, the clock will run.
  • 8 meter free positions will be played out if foul occurs before time expiries (at half or end of game). Player must go directly to goal, no
pass and play ends with shot.
    • If the 8-meter is already in play when the game horn sounds, the game is done when the horn sounds. The ball must cross the
goal line before the horn sounds to be considered a goal.
  •  Alternate possession – the team listed first on the schedule receives the first alternate possessions.
    • After initial possession is awarded, the possession will then alternate
  • Yellow and Red Cards will be in effect.
    • 1 yellow card – player must sit out for 2 minutes, running clock
    • 2 yellow cards – player must sit out remaining of game, but can play next game
    • Red Card (Player) – player must sit out the remainder of the game and the next game
    • Red Card (Coach) – coach is required to leave for remainder of the game
  • 4 Goal differential rule is NOT in effect

3rd/4th Division Rules

  • 7v7 field players (does not count goalies – goalies make it 8v8).
  • Game will begin with a draw
  • 2 players must stay behind the restraining line (midfield line)
  • No checking, 3 second count for good defense
  • After a goal the ball will go to the center to the team that was scored upon. The setup will be the same as the four goal differential.

5th/6th Division Rules

Modified checking, and three second rule for good defense

7th/8th Division Rules

Will play US Lacrosse Level FC (full checking) rules when both coaches agree. Otherwise Level A rules (modified checking) will apply.

Overtime

There is no overtime except for championship/play-off games. Playoff games that are tied at the of regulation will go to a 3 minute sudden victory.
If teams are still tied after sudden victory, then Brave heart or coin toss will determine the winner to move forward. Both coaches must agree to
brave heart; otherwise coin toss will be used.

Disputes

All disputes will be settled by the Tournament Director and their decision will be final.

Scoring System to Determine Winners:

During bracket play, teams will be awarded points on the following basis:
Win = 3 Points Tie = 1 Point Loss = 0 Points

If there are 2 or more teams tied at the end of regulation play, the following criteria will be used to determine the play-off seeding:

  1. Head to Head – if no clear winner in 3-way tie, move to next criteria
  2. Goals Against
  3. Shut Outs
  4. Coin Toss

**If there are any forfeits, the average goals against in actual scheduled games play will be added to the total goals against to the team that won
by forfeit**

Forfeits count as an automatic win for the team that has not forfeited.
