New Jersey freshman Hayley Henderson knew that if she wanted to gain exposure to college coaches, she needed to be in Delaware this summer. The midfielder will be repping the Northeast at the National Prospect Elite 80 and the National Lacrosse Classic, both of which are taking place in July at D.E. Turf. These back-to-back events have two things in common: rigorous competition, and a ton of exposure to college coaches. Henderson is locked in for an intense week, but she’s ready to make the most of it.

The freshman definitely isn’t a rookie when it comes to the NLC; in fact she aided the New Jersey girls on their dominant run to the ship in 2018. Last summer, Henderson thrived at midfield. Her abilities to win faceoffs, create opportunities on offense, and even break up plays on defense made her a staple in New Jersey’s lineup. A convincing win over Maryland in the finals only got her hooked for more, and you can definitely expect to see Henderson and her team making waves at the NLC this summer.
